Mid-level Systems Engineer - TS/SCI clearance

Hawthorne, CA

We are assisting our associate to source a qualified, top Systems Engineer with Top Secret and Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance to work with an internal team providing dedicated, secure systems support.

Experience & Responsibilities:

  • 3+ years of experience in Linux administration
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, administering US government security policies, procedures, and best practices
  • 3+ years with desktop support, including hardware and software troubleshooting and end–user assistance and to assist with the implementation of security controls and hardening of systems
  • System administrator for oversight of daily classified operations of the systems
  • Support and administer Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2, Active Directory, and group policy
  • Microsoft Server 2012 R2 and VMware
  • Windows Server 2008R2 and 2012 configuration, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Extensive knowledge of Active Directory Schema, Group, and Policy Management
  • Perform anti–virus software updating, systems and applications support, and network peripheral support
  • Operate system backups and provide desktop support and operational support to the Cyber Solutions Network
  • Track ticketing solutions and providing 24x7 tiered escalation support model
  • Document security findings and develop plans of actions to remedy vulnerabilities.

Technical Product and Client Service Issues:

  • Resolve technical product issues using computer and software programs to trouble shoot and handle tense and stressful client situations regarding service outages and issue resolution, to troubleshoot and
  • Analyze complex issues and offer alternative solutions, and make timely logical decisions based on overall client need
  • Customer-service skills, including phone, e–mail, chat, and in person
  • Provide accurate and timely response and resolution to client issues over the phone or electronically
  • Demonstrate a sense of responsibility and self–motivation and prioritize and organize workload to complete multiple and simultaneous workloads
  • On call support duties outside of normal duty hours, including weekends and holidays

Security background:

  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Security+ Certification

Education:

BA or BS degree in Information Systems, CS, Engineering, or a related field preferred

MCSA Certification
